Housing and medical center
On this tree-lined site in the city center, the project unfortunately involves the demolition of 4 small houses dating from the 18th to the early 20th century. After considering all possibilities regarding program and budget, there is a slim opportunity to save the oldest one, which will be transformed into a medical office. The rest of the project is based on a duality: on the street side, it continues the pre-existing logic of masonry blocks, tiled and decorated in the style of the surrounding historical spa buildings, while at the back of the plot, a long wooden structure housing leans against the plot boundary. The positioning of each building is designed to maximize open-ground and biodiversity.
